Congratulations to the following children who have consistently demonstrated exemplary behaviour this week:
At St Mary's School, our Christian Values, Respect, Integrity and Resilience, underpin everything that we do. Children understand how these values help them to be good learners and outstanding citizens enabling them to 'shine as lights in the world'.
This week, the following children have consistently shown one or more of our Christian values in action:
While a pupil at the Oxfordshire hospital school, Finn entered a competition to raise awareness about vehicle idling. The poster design was part of a fun initiative to involve children in highlighting the health and environmental impact on staff, patients and visitors. Only recently have they been made and put up around the hospital. I have attached the photo of him receiving it too.
This is from part of the social media posts:
The winning slogan – ‘Switch On (brain), Switch Off (engine)’ – reminds us to cut unnecessary car fumes and protect the health of patients, visitors and staff.
It can be seen near entrance drop-off areas where vehicle idling is most common.
Tim Gustafson, one of the judges and a directorate manager, said: “Finn’s powerful design and catchy slogan is inspired and sends out a strong message. Drivers are more likely to take note of the impact unnecessary car fumes have on our patients, visitors, and staff.”
Congratulations to the following children who have their names on the Good Learning Board:
Ariel Photo's from St Mary's 25th years on Fairford Leys
